Studying engineering at Exeter is great. The course is varied and covers loads of different topics giving me an understanding of many of the different roles an engineer has to play in society; Engineering has helped me think much more creatively about solutions to the problems I am presented with.
Outside of being an engineer the social life if amazing; there are always things to do, be it societies to get involved with, friends to hang out with, or simply trips to the beach to relax.
Since joining Exeter I've taken up salsa, which for someone with no real dancing skills is impressive and so much fun. The society members are all really friendly and there are great places to practice with some of the nightclubs holding specific weekly salsa night. I've also got myself involved in a local church and on Sunday evenings cook for about 60 students.
I really like the staff's open door policy; they all try to make themselves readily available to students. So if you need help with work or anything they are there.
The location is great. Its easy to get to London, Bristol, Cornwall, Dartmoor, the beach--you get the idea! The facilities within Harrison are really good, I like using all the machines. The University has a really friendly atmosphere and the campus is beautiful and still so close to town.
