Computer Room

Computer Room Panoramic Photo

The School has a range of purpose-built computer rooms and lecture facilities which are all fitted with modern audio-visual equipment. There is an ongoing programme of investment in new computers and software.

The computers used for undergraduate teaching include a range of machines running either Windows or Linux. On these computers you can access specialist software such as the 3D modelling package Solidworks or analysis software Abaqus, work on program development using Java and C++, undertake multimedia work or simply access the network for email or internet browsing. There are also other more specialised computing facilities within the school such as clusters that support high performance computer intensive research.

The computer room you see here can be used for classes with up to 96 students, or split into two smaller rooms for smaller groups.
