Thermodynamics and Fluids Laboratory

The fluids laboratory contains wind tunnels, flumes and hydraulic benches for undergraduate practical sessions and project work.
Here we also have facilities for physical modelling of real projects. There is a model of a dam, originally commissioned by the local water company, and is now used for student project work. The level of water flow and openings of the dam can be adjusted to enable accurate readings to be taken given different scenarios.
