View from Amory Roof

SECaM is housed in the Harrison Building, seen here from the Amory building roof. Harrison is a 1960s building on the outside, but very much a modern building on the inside. And because of the hill-side location you can enter on one level and leave from another level -- very confusing if you aren't paying attention! The School also has fantastic views over Exeter, the Exe estuary and Dartmoor. On a clear day you can see to the coastal town of Exmouth and the sea (about 8 miles), or to Haldon Hill and Haldon Belvedere tower.
The thin building immediately to the left of Harrison is the Laver building which houses Academic Services and beyond Laver to the left is the tall physics building which can be seen from miles around. Nestled into the trees is the Northcott Theatre and a little to the left of that the main university library.
To the right of Harrison is the Kay Labs (with chimney) and further to the right are the cranes for the new build of "Innovation Centre 2" (completed Oct 2008), with "Innovation Centre 1" to the right of that.
